  Ultra ISP Linux KDE Support


1. To start setting up your connection go to the "K" menu. Choose Internet and click on Kppp in the menu. Now you will see the first screen. Click Setup. Then click New in the Account Setup section.

2. Enter the connection name Ultra ISP and your local access number. Make sure you have PAP chosen as your authentication method. Then click the IP tab.

3. Make sure you have Dynamic IP Address selected. Then click the DNS tab.

4. Enter the domain name ultraisp.com. In the DNS IP Address box enter 192.168.111.5 and click the Add button. Then in the same space enter 64.9.67.2 and click Add again. Next click on the Gateway tab.

5. Make sure the Default Gateway is selected. Also check Assign the Default Route to this Gateway. Now click the OK button.

6. Click on the Device tab. Make sure you have the correct modem device selected. Also make sure you have the Flow Control and Connection Speed. Then click on the Modem tab.

7. In the Modem tab section you may query your modem to make sure it is responding to the computer propely. You will also want to click on the Modem Commands button and make sure you have the correct modem init string entered for your modem. When you are done click OK.

8. Now you are all ready to connect. Enter your username and password in the connect window and click the Connect button.
