 Ultra ISP Windows 98 Support

1. Double Click on My Computer.
2. Next, double-click on Dial up Networking.
3. If the wizard does not automatically appear, double click on Make New Connection, otherwise, go to step 4.
4. In the field "Type a name for the computer you are dialing", please enter "Ultra ISP". Also make sure that the correct modem is selected.
5.Click Next.
6. Now, please enter your local access number.
7. Click Next.
8. The connection is mostly setup now.
9. Click Finish.
10. The Ultra ISP connection icon should now appear. Right click on Ultra ISP and select Properties.
11. The properties windows should now appear with the following window. Click on the Server Types tab. If it is an earlier version of windows, Server Types, is a button near configure.
12. On the Server types window, please make sure that nothing is checked under Advanced Options. Under Allowed Network Protocols, please make sure that only TCP/IP is checked. Now click on the TCP/IP Settings button.
13. On the TCP/IP settings window, go to the area labeled Server Assigned Name Server addresses. Move the selection dot to Specify name server addresses. In Primary DNS, please enter the following 192.168.111.5 In Secondary DNS, please enter 64.9.67.2
14. Click OK until you reach Dial up Networking again.
15. Go back into My Computer and double click on Control Panel.
16. Double Click on Network.
17. Click on TCP/IP and then click on Properties. The only components that need to be installed are as follows:
Client for Microsoft Networks
Dial up Adapter
TCP/IP
18. Select TCP/IP, then click Properties. Click on the WINS Configuration tab at the top.
19. Move the selection to Disable WINS Resolution. Click on the DNS Configuration tab.
20. You should now see the following tab. The following are the settings needed here:
Host:
Domain: ultraisp.com
DNS Server Search Order:
192.168.111.5
64.9.67.2
64.9.67.3
21. Now Click OK, twice. The computer will now ask to be restarted. Click "yes."
22. Now Double Click on the "Ultra ISP" Icon located in Dial up Networking. You should see the following screen. Double check the information, then click connect. Within a few seconds, you should be connected.
